The search for one’s authentic identity is no easy task. Hamza Haq, leading star of the hit show Transplant, takes us on the journey of embracing your identity as an immigrant – an identify which holds a rich native history, yet is often challenged to thrive within a new environment. He encourages all third culture kids to embrace themselves and all the richness and complexities of each of their cultural identifies. Hamza is the star of the hit TV series “Transplant”, where he plays a Syrian doctor trying to make a new life for his family in Canada. His own family moved from Pakistan to Canada via Saudi Arabia, and as an actor, Hamza’s passion is storytelling that lifts up real voices, including those of refugees and immigrants.
